Weeds take more than a third of the harvest. We work out how to take it back.
WSSB brings together the agronomists, research scientists and teachers who study weed ecology, herbicide science and integrated management across Bangladesh’s cropping systems — and turns that work into practice on the farm.

What an unmanaged field gives up
Nationwide, studies indicate an average yield loss of over 37% where no weed control is practised — costing the country millions of dollars every season. The shaded portion of each bar is the share of the crop lost to weed competition.
